… thought I knew …

Ever since man began to think he always wanted change.  A change for the better.  Naturally.  In this age, in these times, today, our society needs a new and in-depth look at two of our main ills: Alcohol and Drugs.  The curse of ’smoking’ is being rid of slowly, yet inexorably, after many generations of  death dealing addiction.     It is hoped  saner thoughts will prevail upon those in  authority to act sensibly and not selfishly just as those in the past did to eradicate bootlegging and cancerous smoking . . .

Began to imitate film heroes of throwing down the gullet a shot . . . developed to ‘polish a bottle a session’ . . . lost many of mutual habits well before their times . . . wrote, edited and suffered indignity,  when trusted friends stabbed in the back,  like thieves in the night,   the self seeking parasites . . .

Am blessed with this medium to write, in the evening of my life, as prompted by my faithful left overs of my trusted friends . . . from time to time.
